Technicolor has announced the opening of the Technicolor Experience Centre. The centre is tasked with developing high-concept content, platforms and technology for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and other immersive media applications.
The facility is led by Marcie Jastrow, who has been named Senior Vice President of Immersive Media for Technicolor. Based in Culver City, California, the Technicolor Experience Centre occupies a purpose-built space that enables communities of artists and technologists across teams at Technicolor, as well as partners, to discover and create immersive experiences throughout entertainment, advertising, and other commercial applications.
“The Technicolor Experience Centre creates a vibrant ecosystem that enables our teams, partners and customers to advance the state-of-the-art in this new form of storytelling,” said Tim Sarnoff, Technicolor Deputy CEO and President of Production Services.
