Telefónica updates Movistar TV
July 8, 2016
From David Del Valle in Madrid
One year after its launch as Movistar TV, Telefónica’s pay-TV platform is set to update its user interface in an attempt to be more dynamic.
The update will roll out in September along with the addition of new added value services such as a recommendation engine that draws information from the viewer’s profile. The company has also just added the Yomvi service that allows its subscribers to download thousands of titles without an Internet connection
Movistar TV is currently leading the Spanish Pay TV market with over 3.7 million subscribers.
