Netflix UK raising prices

After a promised 2 year price-freeze, Netflix is prepping to hike the price of streaming HD TV shows and movies in the UK.
Later this month, UK customers will begin to be “ungrandfathered” from previous pricing plans, and will be charged £7.49 (€9.35) per month to stream HD videos from one account to two devices at once, a 50p rise.
“Impacted members will be clearly notified by email and within the service so that they have time to decide which plan/price point works best for them,” Netflix said in a statement.
After the updates users will pay £5.99 to stream standard definition videos, £7.49 for HD content, or £8.99 to watch four different shows all on four different devices simultaneously.
Price hikes are also set for the US market. The popular “standard” $7.99 subscription is set to be raised to $9.99 – affecting 37 per cent of subscribers in the country.
