PlayStation Vue price drop; Adds ESPN, Disney
March 3, 2016
Sony is dropping the price on all three packages of its PlayStation Vue streaming TV service by $10 in the US. It is also adding ESPN, Disney, and ABC channels after a content deal was first announced back in November.
With the new price drops, available to both new and existing customers, the service’s Access package now costs $39.99 a month for 60 channels. The Core tier, which has 75 channels and regional sports networks, now costs $44.99 a month, while the Elite tier, which has over 100 channels, is down to $54.99.
The new channels include ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD and Freeform (née ABC Family). Sony is also making local ABC stations available in five markets.
