Amman-based Arab Advisors Group, in a White Paper, says while Cairo-based Nilesat now has 669 standard definition channels on air (as at March 2015), it is only carrying 63 HDTV channels.

Riyadh-based Arabsat is carrying 88 HD TV channels, helped by the MyHD’s bouquet of 46 free-to-air HD TV channels. Nilesat is carrying 63 HD channels, while newcomer YahLive is broadcasting 30 HD channels (and 89 in standard definition) for the MENA region.
