Motive raises £400k to grow DTT technology
February 10, 2010
Motive Television, a leading media investment company, has raised £400k (E456k) through the subscription of new shares to retail and institutional investors. The money will be used to continue the marketing and development of its Digital Terrestrial TV ('DTT') technology business.
As part of the Company's new strategic focus, it has already secured the global rights from Adecq Digital to distribute the patented BesTV digital terrestrial technology to broadcasters worldwide, as announced in July 2009.
BesTV is now well placed to be rolled out globally by Motive. Motive has already been in discussions with broadcasters in Europe and the USA. Furthermore Motive has identified a number of small, entrepreneurial DTT technology companies that would benefit from being part of a larger group – so acquisitions are expected in the coming months.
