March 13, 2014
Factual and entertainment broadcaster A+E Networks UK is expanding its portfolio of channels in Romania. From March 2014, History HD and Crime & Investigation Network (CI) will be available on satellite and digital television operator Romtelecom and its subsidiary NextGen Communications.
Bakori Davis, VP of Commercial Operations at A+E Networks UK, said: “We are delighted to secure additional distribution with Romtelecom and NextGen for both History HD and CI in Romania. History is the most popular factual channel in Romania and we are thrilled that our growing audience can now enjoy its quality content in HD.”
History first launched with Romtelecom in August 2011 and is now available in HD as part of Romtelecom’s HD basic bundles Extra and Maxim, on both satellite and digital (IPTV). The channel is also available as part of NextGen Communications’ HD supplementary option.
CI is available in Romtelecom’s Maxim package and NextGen’s digital and analogue packages, offering viewers insight into real life crime stories.
