Discovery kicks off Six Nations Rugby

As the 2014 RBS Six Nations Rugby tournament kicked off on February 1st, multi-platform live streaming and catch-up TV service Simplestream confirmed that it has been selected by Discovery’s DMAX Italia to stream games in Italy.
Discovery Networks recently announced that it had signed a four-year deal exclusively acquiring sports rights to broadcast across TV, online and mobile platforms in Italy.
Dan Finch, Director of Simplestream said the company had proven that its technology was robust for the biggest broadcasters and looked forward to being Discovery’s technical provider across any of its OTT requirements.
