HBO Entertainment President steps down
September 24, 2013
Sue Naegle is stepping down at HBO after a five-year run as entertainment president at the premium cable network. She is poised to set up a production company with a multiyear first-look deal at HBO.
Per the deal, Naegle will be able to produce series for HBO as well as for other outlets, with reports suggesting the pact does not preclude her from shopping projects to basic cable outlets like AMC and FX.
In her time at HBO, Naegle has been particularly involved with ‘In The Thick Of It’ spin-off ‘Veep’, ratings smash ‘Game of Thrones’ and the critically acclaimed ‘Girls’.
