Google TV partners set for CES
January 9, 2013
Google has confirmed that the upcoming CES show in Las Vegas will see further details unveiled of Google TV devices and services.
Writing in the Google TV blog, Suveer Kothari and Mickey Kim of Google TV Partnerships, note that last November, Google TV was updated to make it faster and easier to access users’ favourite entertainment and Google services on the TV. “At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, you’ll see more Google TV partners, updates from existing partners, and more content coming to the platform,” they say.
“Asus, Hisense, TCL and others will show products with Google TV launching in the coming weeks. Existing partners like LG, Vizio, Sony, and others will show off the newest Google TV platform that makes finding what you want faster and easier. Combined, these set-top boxes, integrated TVs, and IPTV boxes with Google TV are available from nine partners across 10 countries around the world,” they advise.
Recently-launched apps on Google TV such as Amazon, SiriusXM, France24, Dramafever and more, can be seen. “These add to the hundreds of TV-optimised apps and thousands of supported mobile apps available on Google TV,” they note.
