Broadcasters awarded FilmOn injunction
December 28, 2012
A California federal judge has approved a preliminary injunction against online TV website FilmOn, which temporarily bars the service from retransmitting television content from a group of broadcasters who instigated the action.
The ruling followed an earlier decision in which the judge said he would grant the injunction after finding that FilmOn could be infringing on the broadcasters’ copyrighted material and causing irreparable harm to their businesses.
