Italian Sky Original Gucci – Fine Dei Giochi to begin filming in 2026
September 29, 2025
Sky has announced new Italian Sky Original series Gucci – Fine dei Giochi (working title) – a modern family epic about the power of a name, the price of fame, and the allure of success and money – lots of money. Filming will commence in spring 2026 and the series will be directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Last Kiss, The Pursuit of Happyness).
The series will offer a unique portrait of the most iconic family in the Italian luxury world, where passions, revenge, and unbridled ambitions will intertwine in a sweeping family saga marked by a murder — that of Maurizio Gucci — which sealed the end of an era.
The series will unfold across multiple timelines to tell the story of a family at the helm of an empire that captivated the world. A brand that defined Made in Italy, created by a family able to transform a small leather workshop into a global symbol of style and prestige. Yet, behind the golden façade of success and luxury lies the fragility of a power built on image, ambition, and rivalry, ending up in a story of conflict, passion, and characters that defined an era.
Through the eyes of two women – Patrizia Reggiani, who married Maurizio and was later convicted of orchestrating his assassination, and Allegra Gucci, the daughter seeking to piece together the truth and her family’s identity — unfolds a timeless drama: that of a great Italian dynasty, consumed by a power struggle that ultimately led to its self-destruction.
The series, written by Isabella Aguilar, Flaminia Gressi and Gabriele Muccino, is based on the memoir Fine dei giochi Luci e ombre sulla mia famiglia by Allegra Gucci, daughter of Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci.
The series is co-produced by Sky Studios and Lucky Red.
