Greg Berman debuts first stand-up special on Mometu
August 13, 2025

Rising comedian Greg Berman is making waves with the release of his debut stand-up special, Here for a Bit, arriving August 15th exclusively on Mometu, the first-ever stand-up comedy special to premiere on the fast-growing streaming platform.
Filmed at the intimate Whitley Theater in Hollywood on October 26th 2024, Berman’s special is a high-wire act of satire, storytelling, and existential insight. Through the lens of his experience as a Ukrainian Jewish refugee, Berman mines dark moments for humour, weaves unexpected throughlines of fate, and wrestles with what it means to be alive in a collapsing world, with the kind of humanity that sneaks up on you and stays after the credits roll.
Beyond the laughs, the special has stunned early viewers for another reason: four major events referenced in the set came true within months of filming, sparking comparisons to The Simpsons for its strange prophetic edge. Was it intuition? Cosmic coincidence? Or just a man so observant, he accidentally time-traveled?
This special marks the start of a new era on Mometu, kicking off the platform’s growing comedy section, with Berman at the forefront.
It also kicks off Berman’s September London tour, with eight live performances already on the calendar, including a special show at Soho House in London’s West End.
Mometu, the exclusive platform for the release, is a new destination for bold, independent voices in film, television, and comedy. Available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and all major streaming services, Mometu offers a curated library of content from emerging and established creators, with a growing focus on original programming.
