Italy: DAZN, WBD expand partnership
July 25, 2025

DAZN, the sports streaming platform, and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) have announced the strengthening of their partnership — active since 2020 — with a new multi-year agreement for the Italian market. As part of this expanded collaboration, DAZN Italy is increasing its investments to further enhance its multisport offering, which already includes Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 within the app.
In the coming months, DAZN subscribers will have access to even more multisport events, thanks to the integration of all live extra content from Eurosport’s digital offering into the platform. Alongside Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 — which continue to broadcast top-tier tennis, cycling, combat sports, and winter sports — viewers will now have access to events such as every match of the Roland-Garros and Australian Open tennis tournaments, every moment of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, full broadcasts of every stage of the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a España, and extensive coverage of the UCI World Tour’s Monument Classics (including, but not limited to, Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Paris-Roubaix, Giro di Lombardia). The coverage also includes the main winter sports disciplines, every UFC octagon event, PGA Tour golf, World Snooker Tour, and motorsports such as WEC, Speedway, and Formula E, among many others. This renewed Italian partnership, part of a broader European collaboration between the two companies, delivers a richer and higher-quality multisport experience for sports fans on DAZN.
Another major highlight of the agreement is the debut of WBD’s entertainment offering on DAZN. Subscribers will soon be able to access channels such as Nove, Real Time, DMax, and, starting this autumn, Discovery Channel, directly within the platform.
“We continue to invest in Italy to enrich the experience of sports fans on our platform. Expanding our existing agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery strengthens a collaboration that has been ongoing since 2020 and leads to an even more integrated and complete in-app offering. We’re proud to enhance our synergy with such a prestigious partner, with whom we share both vision and ambition,” said Stefano Azzi, CEO of DAZN Italy.
“We are pleased to have expanded and extended our agreement with DAZN, a key partner that has consistently valued the quality and depth of the Eurosport offering. It’s a rich and varied lineup of sports, featuring unmissable events for true fans — from every match of the Australian Open and Roland-Garros to every moment of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games — and it fits perfectly within DAZN’s proposition, reaching a significantly broader audience. Additionally, we’re excited to bring our entertainment channels to a new platform like DAZN, offering a new showcase for our free-to-air content. This move further demonstrates our group’s innovation in both content production and distribution,” added Alessandro Araimo, CEO of WBD Italy & Iberia.
