Mel & Sue Should Know by Now podcast on Audible
March 10, 2025

Audible, a provider of spoken word entertainment, has announced the launch of Mel & Sue Should Know by Now, a new Audible Original podcast that reunites the beloved comedy duo, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, for the first time presenting a series together in nine years.
Famed for their long-term comic partnership and hilarious presenting stints on Light Lunch, The Great British Bake Off and BBC’s Comic Relief, real life best friends Mel & Sue are back to tackle the things they really should know by now.
In every episode of Mel & Sue Should Know by Now they take turns to explain something that they still don’t know (but absolutely, as adults, should). Things that would be too embarrassing to ask anyone to explain – except a best friend. As they struggle to fill in each other’s self-confessed blind spots, they share hilarious anecdotes and surprising revelations about their lives, history and friendship.
From the science of bread-making (seriously, what is yeast?) to the mysteries of kink (overwhelmingly mysterious to Mel, anyway) and the unspoken rules of packing holiday underwear (is there a golden ratio?), no topic is off-limits. Each episode is a mix of nostalgia, absurdity, a view into their own treasured friendship and personal anecdotes peppered with backstage gossip from their celebrated careers.
Reflecting on the podcast, Giedroyc commented: “Thirty-seven years of friendship and the old girl can still make me literally wheeze my lungs up with laughter. I have not had so much fun in ages!”
Perkins added: “I was crying with hysteria and eating crisps throughout. To be honest, I’m still not over the Guinea Pig story…”
Blending comedy, storytelling and unexpectedly useful insights, Mel & Sue Should Know by Now joins Audible’s extensive roster of comedy podcasts, including and From the Oasthouse: The Alan Partridge Podcast, Lolly Adefope’s Fanmail,Educating Daisy, Green Wing Resuscitated and more.
