Mea Culpa at Netflix #1

Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, the romantic thriller starring Kelly Rowland, topped Netflix’s English Films List in the week commencing February 19th with 16 million views. Perry has also been in the news for expressing his belief that OpenAI Sora could end studio production as we know it. Meanwhile, romantic comedy feature Players starring Gina Rodriguez and Damon Wayans Jr (7.4 million views) grabbed the #2 spot in the English Films List.
After just four days, Avatar: The Last Airbender debuted atop the English TV List with 21.2 million views and reached the Top 10 in 92 countries. One Day, the limited series adapted from David Nicholls’ beloved romance novel came in at #2 (7.5 million views) on the English TV List. Season 6 of the fan-favourite dating experiment Love is Blind (7.5 million views) followed at #3.
Netflix viewers were in the mood for survival thrillers over on the Non-English Films List. Natural disaster thriller The Abyss (Sweden) kept the top spot (22.3 million views); and two-time Oscar nominee Society of the Snow (Spain), from director J.A. Bayona, spent its eighth week on the list (2.1 million views).
The thriller House of Ninjas (Japan) muscled into the lead spot on the Non-English TV List (4.5 million views). Season 3 of the gritty thriller Good Morning, Veronica (Brazil) took fifth place in its second week on the list (2 million views), and Season 1 returned to the list in tenth place (1.1 million views).
