Tencent Video selects NetRange solutions
June 30, 2022
NetRange, a global provider of white-labelled, turnkey Smart TV and OTT ecosystems, has been selected by Tencent Video to power the international expansion of its WeTV service by reaching new Smart TV and connected device users through the NetRange Smart TV App Store.
This agreement enables WeTV to leverage NetRange’s single integration process, eliminating the need for complex content agreements with individual device brands and manufacturers. NetRange provides content to millions of Smart TVs, set-top-boxes and other connected devices; enabling viewers to enjoy WeTV on as many devices as possible.
“Adding WeTV content to the NetRange App Store is a real win-win,” said Michi Uemetsu, CTO, ACCESS CO., LTD. “With this one agreement; WeTV will be available on millions of devices; we enable consumers to access WeTV on Smart TVs and other connected devices; and our device partners get to broaden their content offering, with WeTVs multi-language offering of entertainment, movies, anime and much more. What’s more, we provide a worry-free integration process that takes just a month. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to help Tencent Video reach millions of new viewers for WeTV and look forward to WeTV enjoying explosive growth in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
