Arqiva has appointed Charles Constable to head up its digital platforms business unit. Constable is the former strategy director at Britain’s Channel 5. He starts on June 6th and will report to John Cresswell, Arqiva’s recently appointed CEO.

Steve Holebrook, previously MD for Terrestrial Broadcast, then MD for Government, Mobile & Enterprise at Arqiva, will now become MD of Arqiva’s Broadcast & Media business, taking over from Nick Thompson, and focusing on Arqiva’s satellite, terrestrial TV and radio transmission operations. This includes delivery of the £700 million investment, five-year TV Digital Switch Over project which will complete in 2012.

Nick Thompson has been at Arqiva since July 2005 following the acquisition of Inmedia, which was originally part of Kingston Communications. He had been at Kingston since 2000.Prior to that he was European president of Loral CyberStar.
