November 1, 2018
The BBC has revealed that Sir David Attenborough’s latest series, Dynasties, will be available in Ultra HD on iPlayer from November 11th.
Each episode of the series, which follows individual animals including lions, chimpanzees, and emperor penguins, at the most critical period in their lives, will be available to stream through the iPlayer following their broadcast on BBC One.
Matthew Postgate, Chief Technology and Product Officer, BBC, commented: “Dynasties is exactly the kind of landmark BBC programme that audiences want to see in Ultra HD. We’ve been trialling Ultra HD over the past couple of years as we reinvent the BBC, and it’s clear that people enjoy the increased quality. We believe our Ultra HD coverage is some of the best around – combining the higher resolution with a wider of range of colours and HDR, which really brings our world-class programmes alive.”
Dynasties in Ultra HD will be available to UK audiences with a compatible TV and a high speed connection.
