Italian DTH platform TivúSat has continued to expand its line-up with the addition of movie channel Cine Sony.

The free-to-air channel can be received by all viewers equipped with a TivúSat set-top box/ CAM and smart-card.

Cine Sony is operated by Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN).The programme schedule ranges from Hollywood classics to cult movies, and also a number of documentaries on the history of cinema.

Cine Sony started broadcasting in Italy last September and was only available via DTT. It is SPTN’s second channel on TivúSat after the addition of kids channel Pop in November 2017.

Another addition to the satellite platform, expected in the coming days, is Top Calcio 24 HD, a channel entirely dedicated to Italian football which airs news and talk shows.

TivúSat distributes more than 100 TV channels (38 in HD), as well as 45 radio stations, on-demand services from the main Italian broadcasters and three 4K channels (Rai 4k, Eutelsat 4K1 and Fashion TV).
