NDS and ARM partner on connected TV market
January 5, 2011
NDS, a provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, has entered into a partnership with ARM, the semiconductor intellectual property supplier, to enable the delivery of Over-the-Top (OTT) content and services to connected TVs, with NDS Infinite TV.
The cooperation will enable connected TV manufacturers to implement a ready-made software solution that will provide a framework for OTT services, easily integrated with a variety of devices.
The Infinite TV suite of technologies enables the delivery and optimisation of OTT content on any device, whilst enhancing the value proposition for all members of the content eco-system. It grants viewers the freedom to watch content, that can be monetised through advanced advertising models on connected TVs or any Internet capable device.
