Sony’s Qriocity launched in Europe
November 24, 2010
Sony has brought its Qriocity online content rental service to Europe after a soft launch in Bravias and Blu-ray in the US. Sony says music and games will soon be added to the current movie menu as the service goes live in France, Spain, Germany, Italy and the UK.
The eccentrically named Qriocity has European content deals for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Lionsgate, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Starz Digital Media, The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal, International Television Distribution, and Warner Bros.
This is less of a line up than LoveFilm which is already available in Sony connected TVs and PlayStation 3.
