All episodes of the celebrated Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek – created by and starring father and son duo Eugene and Dan Levy – will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from June 6th.
Schitt’s Creek ran for six seasons between 2015 and 2020, attracting a huge cult following and bagging a host of awards. The sixth (and final) season alone was nominated for 15 Primetime Emmy Awards.
The series follows the adventures of the wealthy Rose family, who lose their fortune when their business manager embezzles funds from their video store company. Father Johnny (Eugene Levy), his former soap opera actress wife Moira (Catherine O’Hara) and their adult children David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy) are consequently forced to sell their family mansion and move to a small town, where they must adjust to a very different way of life.
