BBC Studios and Atmedia Group are entering into a new partnership, under which Atmedia will handle the advertising sales for BBC Earth in Hungary under agreement starting in April.

BBC Earth presents stories from the natural world and scientific exploration in a local language version. BBC Earth seeks to inspire audiences by sharing the wonders of the universe. The channel showcases the work of the world’s foremost factual film-makers and it seeks to take audiences on a thrilling journey of discovery.

Atmedia already represents the commercial advertising sales of channels owned by three major international media groups – The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros Discovery and Viasat World. Its portfolio includes globally recognised brands such as National Geographic, Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, Eurosport, ID, the Cartoon Network channel family and Viasat History, among others.

“Our agreement with BBC Studios further reinforces Atmedia’s long-term strategy, which focuses on building stable and predictable partnerships with world-renowned content brands. As a long-term, reliable and strategically minded partner this multi-year cooperation around BBC Earth provides a solid foundation, and we are confident that this partnership can be further expanded in the future,” said Csaba Guttengéber, Chief Executive Officer of Atmedia Group.

BBC Earth embodies everything we stand for as a global content creator – a uniquely curated, premium factual offering that brings audiences exceptional storytelling and world‑class production values, perfectly aligned with the expectations of Hungarian viewers. With its strong market presence, international portfolio management expertise, and deep local market knowledge. We are pleased to launch this cooperation, with At Media creating a strong basis for a successful long-term collaboration,” added Bartosz Witak, SVP, General Manager for CEE, MENA and Turkey at BBC Studios.
