SSGS confirms 2026 dates for ground segment event
November 17, 2025
A conference dedicated exclusively to the satellite ground segment will be held again in London in 2026. Strategies in Satellite Ground Segment (SSGS) is the ultimate convergence of global satellite leaders and has become a must-attend event for anyone shaping the future of connectivity. Next year it will return to the Park Plaza London Victoria from September 30th to October 1st.
The 2025 event achieved record attendance, welcoming senior representatives from organisations including the UK and Italian Ministries of Defence, ESA, Airbus, Babcock, Lockheed Martin, BT Group, Vodafone, Viasat, GSMA, GSOA, and UK Space Command. Delegates and speakers from across Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East and Africa came together to create a truly global forum for innovation and collaboration in the ground segment.
“We received tremendous feedback from speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and delegates – making the Park Plaza the natural choice. The venue offers room for growth, and judging by early interest, we’re certainly going to need it,” said Event Director Kevin French. “Hosting such an exceptional lineup reinforces SSGS’s position as the leading global platform for ground segment excellence.”
The 2025 conference opened with a keynote from Dr. Ulpia-Elena Botezatu, Chair of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, exploring the intersection of space governance, infrastructure protection and orbital security. High-level sessions continued throughout the two-day programme, with delegates and exhibitors, alike, praising the event’s unmatched focus and networking opportunities:
“The SKYNET delivery team were delighted to be invited to present a keynote address at SSGS2025. We were particularly keen to meet and be exposed to SMEs and suppliers that we have not traditionally done business within the SKYNET Enterprise. We found both the content of the conference and the associated networking opportunities equally informing and rewarding. We have come away with new contacts to follow up on and new suggestions to ponder as we continue to take SKYNET forward,” said Peter Lymn, SKYNET Integrated Enterprise Solution (SKIES) Lead, UK MoD.
“SSGS provided a valuable platform to discuss the critical role of ground segment infrastructure,” said Francesco Cataldo, Chairman of iKO Media Group. “Bringing global industry leaders together in a focused setting creates not only insight, but also meaningful opportunities to connect and collaborate. We’re proud to contribute to that momentum and honoured that our efforts were recognised with an award at the event.”
“SSGS 2025 was an outstanding platform that brought together global leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of satellite ground infrastructure. It was inspiring to see such depth of dialogue on innovation, resilience, and sovereign capability. At Neo Space Group, we value opportunities like this to share our vision and collaborate with partners driving the future of the space and satellite industry,”added Mark Dickinson, CTO & A/COO, Neo Space Group.
