April 14, 2025

Deutsche Telekom’s streaming platform, MagentaTV, is letting viewers watch selected content for free.
From April 24th, MagentaTV will offer a range of titles to viewers with no obligation to subscribe or register. Content will include the first episode of Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale; the first four episodes of Suits LA – the new offshoot of the Suits series; two new episodes of the talk show format Retrofit with Johannes B. Kerner and guests Markus Lanz and Alexander Zverev; and more.
Sports fans will also be able to watch German ice hockey international matches live and free of charge, whilst music lovers can access live streams from the festivals Wacken (featuring the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Machine Head and Papa Roach) and Hurricane (with Green Day, Wet Leg and Biffy Clyro among those on the lineup).
“We want to get even more people excited about MagentaTV. Our product offers incredible variety, state-of-the-art technology and intuitive operation at absolutely fair conditions. Now we make it easier for all interested parties to get started in the world of MagentaTV and want to lead it directly into the product use via the content. And we go one step further: We will soon provide all TV fans with a free trial week with access to the entire offer on our platform. Complete without limitations. The best MagentaTV, as everyone should experience,” commented Arnim Butzen, head of TV at Deutsche Telekom.
