Apain: Atresmedia surpasses €1bn in revenue

Atresmedia, one of the largest TV groups in Spain and operator of six TV channels, among them Antena 3 and La Sexta, has reported it achieved a record revenue of €1.01 billion in 2024, up 4.8 per cent on the previous year. EBITDA amounted to €177.6 million, an increase of €4.5 million on 2023.
The TV division reported net revenues of €943.7 million (against €902.8 million in 2023), up 4.5 per cent, whilst EBITDA was at €160.2 million. Net advertising revenues grew by 2.5 per cent to €803.4 million. Atresmedia ended the year as the leading TV group in terms of audience for the third year in a row.
Meanwhile, Telefónica reported revenue growth of 1.6 per cent in 2024, to €41.3 billion, and 5.4 per cent in Q4. In the last quarter of 2024, asset impairment exceeded €2 billion, spread across Argentina (€1.2 billion), Chile (€397 million), Telefónica Tech (€243 million) and Peru (€108 million). These impacts saw the Group record a net loss of €1 billion in Q4 which for the whole year has stood at -€49 million.
