December 7, 2023

On December 6th a holiday promotion for retail chain Target, produced in partnership with Jimmy Kimmel Live, used Proto hologram technology on a US television commercial for the first time.
In the stunt, sidekick Guillermo beamed via hologram to a Target aisle in a Proto M unit disguised as a toy box, and interacts in real time with shoppers who are able to see and hear him.
Proto has been used for marketing events by Netflix, Disney, Spotify, SeatGeek, the NFL, NHL, NBA, Verizon, AT&T, Audi, Kia, Rolling Stone and more and organically integrated into content on TV shows like America’s Got Talent, The Kardashians, CBS’s Super Bowl coverage and on Kimmel‘s show several times including for People magazine’s recent Sexiest Man reveal – but this is the first time in a televised advert.
