Rakuten TV has announced the launch of its video streaming app for the PlayStation 5 gaming console across Europe.

The app will provide users access to a range of content directly from their gaming console. Ranging from AVoD to TVoD and Live Channels, viewers will be able to buy and rent the latest Hollywood titles straight out of cinemas, watch for free with ads top Hollywood movies or stream free tv channels across various genres such as News, Movies, Kids, Sports or entertainment.

Sidharth Jayant, Chief Product Officer at Rakuten TV, commented: “This launch is a step forward in our growth and potential. After having recently announced the enhancement of our FAST channels portfolio, we are glad now to complement it with our new collaboration to reach a wider audience”.

The app is available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Poland, Romania.
