KC Global pulls channels from Indonesia’s TransVision
July 13, 2023

KC Global Media, Asia’s leading entertainment network, has announced the cessation of its channels including English general entertainment channel, AXN; Japanese anime channel, Animax; Japanese entertainment channel, GEM, and South Korean entertainment channel, ONE, on Indonesia’s pay-TV operator, TransVision due to non-payment of contractual obligations. The cessation of channels was effective on July 12th after extensive efforts to resolve the outstanding payment issues and ensure the smooth continuation of services.
KC Global Media says it has “always prioritised delivering exceptional content and maintaining strong relationships with its affiliate partners. The company entered into a mutually beneficial agreement with TransVision to distribute its channels to a wider audience, providing viewers with an array of engaging and entertaining programming. Despite numerous attempts by KC Global Media to engage in meaningful dialogue and resolve the financial dispute, TransVision was unable to fulfill its financial obligations according to the agreed-upon terms”.
Viewers in Indonesia may continue to access the respective channels on First Media, IndiHomeTV, Maxstream, MNC Vision, My Republic and Nex Parabola.
