April 11, 2023
One ISP in Vietnam improved its speed more than any other Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the month of March on the Netflix ISP Speed Index, a monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime time Netflix streaming experience.
Vietnam was the only country to register an overall gain in speed this month, with its average speed increasing 0.2 Mbps to 3.0 Mbps. FPT Telecom increased 0.6 Mbps and VNPT Fiber increased 0.2 Mbps, rising to 3.2 and 2.6 Mbps, respectively. Optix in Pakistan went up 0.2 Mbps from February’s results, rising to 2.8 Mbps.
March also saw an ISP in South Africa, MTN, drop 0.4 Mbps, falling to 2.6 Mbps. An ISP in Denmark, Dansk Kabel, was also renamed DKTV this month.
In total, 16 countries/regions were in the top performance tier for March with an average speed of 3.6 Mbps: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and United States.
