Nintendo acquires Dynamo Pictures

Gaming giant Nintendo has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the outstanding shares of Dynamo Pictures.
Completion of the acquisition is expected to close on October 3rd, after which Dynamo Pictures will be known as Nintendo Pictures. Dynamo Pictures is previously for its work on the Pikmin short movies, and also assisted with the cut scenes for the Metroid: Other M video game.
Nintendo said that the production company will “strengthen the planning and production structure of visual content in the Nintendo group”.
Nintendo’s first major animated film, based on its Super Mario francise, will be released in cinemas in 2023 and is being helmed by Illumination – best known for the Despicable Me and Minion movies.
