Obi-Wan most-watched Disney+ Original

According to the official Star Wars Twitter account, the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series is now the most-watched Disney+ Original series premiere to date, based on hours streamed in an opening weekend – although no data was released to support the claim.
The Tweet on May 31st read: “Thank you to the best fans in the galaxy for making [Obi-Wan Kenobi] the most-watched [Disney+] Original series premiere globally to date, based on hours streamed in an opening weekend.”
The record was previously held by Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier which premiered in March 2021.
Additionally, following the Obi-Wan Kenobi premiere, viewership of Star Wars titles on the Disney+ service reportedly tripled in hours watched throughout the opening weekend.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which sees Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprise their roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader respectively, debuted on May 27th with the first two episodes of the season. Episode 3 launches today (June 1st).
