Acclaimed mockumentary series, Abbott Elementary, is now streaming on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.

The workplace comedy follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers – and a slightly tone-deaf principal – as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these notable public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do – even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

Abbott Elementary is created by and stars Quinta Brunson, who was most recently seen on the Emmy-nominated series A Black Lady Sketch Show. The cast also includesTyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Certified ‘Fresh’ on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes with a 97 per cent rating (at time of writing), all 13 episodes from Season 1 of Abbott Elementary are now available to stream on Disney+. A second season is in production.
