October 29, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Tough competition and low price offers have driven Orange Spain revenues down by 2.5 per cent in the third quarter to €1.31 billion, according to the company.
Overall, in the nine first months of the year, Orange Spain saw its revenues fall by 1.2 per cent to €3.93 billion. The company said it maintained its number of premium customers in a low-cost trend market fought out with Vodafone and MásMóvil.
Orange Spain captured 47,000 TV subscribers in the quarter versus the fall of 41,000 the previous quarter as a result of its football offers. It has a total of 711,000 subscribers. ARPU in the convergent packages increased by 0.7 per cent to €57.9 a month. The company has 4.1 million broadband customers out of which 3.1 million are FTTH.
