Spain: FTTH lines reach 9.4m

The number of FTTH lines in Spain continues growing with almost 9.4 million as of June 30th – 1.8 million more than a year earlier, according to CNMC’s data.
The monthly growth was 111,856 FTTH lines with the number of DSL lines falling by 1.3 million in the year to June 30th.
Movistar is the market leader with a share of 44.2 per cent and 4.1 million FTTH lines.
The three largest telcos Movistar, Orange and Vodafone control 87.5 per cent of the fixed broadband lines in Spain.
Movistar, with 39.96 per cent is the market leader, followed by Orange (26.4 per cent), Vodafone (21.13 per cent) and Masmovil (8.11 per cent).
