French commercial broadcaster TF1 has announced that it will exclusively air all 48 matches from this year’s Rugby World Cup on a free-to-air basis..

TF1 had acquired the rights to the competition in March 2018. Previously, it had shared the rights with pay-TV channel Canal+.

The tournament will be held in Japan and kicks off on September 20^th. The first match played by the French national team will see them take on Argentina on September 21^st.
