Discovery cooks up Jamie Oliver deal with C4

Discovery has agreed a deal with Channel 4 to acquire a catalogue of Jamie Oliver titles and other lifestyle programming for Food Network, its free-to-air lifestyle and entertainment channel.
The deal includes thirteen new titles and the relicense of eight previously acquired titles.
Jamie Watkins, Content Sourcing and Acquisitions Manager at Discovery said, “Jamie Oliver is a much-loved talent and we’re delighted to complete the deal with Channel 4, bringing Food Network fans more of his most popular cooking shows.”
Karla Berry, Senior Manager, 4 Distribution at Channel 4 said, “We’re really pleased to build upon our long-standing distribution relationship with Discovery with a great package of high-quality food programming, and delighted to be extending the audiences of these popular shows even further via their Food Network channel.”
