Despite an abundance of rumours to the contrary, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) is insisting it is not in discussions with either Sony or Comcast with regards selling a significant stake in ZEEL.
The reports were initially aired on business news channel CNBC-TV18
A formal statement from ZEEL, issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange on February 18th, said: “After receiving the media query from the channel, the management of ZEEL, under the guidance of its Promoters, had instantly stated to the channel in a written communication, that the query was purely speculative and that the management refuses to comment on any market speculations, purely in the interest of the entire investor fraternity. The official response of ZEEL’s management was also aired on the same channel.”
