October 1, 2018
On the heels of its acquisition of the Carabao Cup and English Football League Championship broadcast rights, StarHub has netted a brace with the UEFA Champions League (UCL) and the UEFA Europa League (UEL). With this, football fans can enjoy more football broadcast in HD at no additional cost.
UCL and UEL matches will be air on beIN Sports HD with simultaneous matches shown on StarHub’s self-packaged Hub Sports channels. StarHub TV Sports Group subscribers with StarHub TV Go Value-Added Service can also watch matches on their smart devices at their own convenience. Non-StarHub TV subscribers can also tune in on the action via Go Sports on StarHub Go.
“We are happy to reach an agreement to bring this season of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League to our customers,” said Johan Buse, Chief, Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “We are grateful for our customers’ understanding and thank them for their patience during this period. We remain committed to ensuring that our content offering provides customers with a wide range of sporting events.”
