Doctor Who lands in LatAm on Sony Crackle

BBC Studios and Sony Crackle have announced an agreement that will bring the new series of the iconic Doctor Who to the Sony Pictures Television Networks SVoD platform. Crackle subscribers in the region will have exclusive access to the new series which features ten 50-minute episodes kicking off with a feature length opening episode. A premiere date will be announced soon.

This new deal strengthens BBC Studios’ commercial relationship with Crackle and allows us to give Latin American audiences a chance to enjoy this new season of Doctor Who, featuring the first ever woman in the iconic role,” said David Hanono, General Manager, Sales and Digital at BBC Studios Latin America/US Hispanic. “It also enables us to consolidate BBC Studios’ presence within the region’s leading OTT services and demonstrates the appeal of our content to platforms looking for innovative, distinguished and high-quality productions.”
