Game of Thrones retains “most pirated show”

Game of Thrones has won the dubious award of the most pirated show of 2017. The HBO production was officially the most illegally streamed show for the sixth consecutive year, according to data from TorrentFreak.
The show beat The Walking Dead and The Flash, which came in second and third respectively. The Big Bang Theory was the fourth most torrented show of the year, followed by sci-fi animation Rick and Morty.
Prison Break, Sherlock, Vikings, Suits and Arrow made up the rest of the top 10.
It is strongly rumoured that there will be no new Game of Thrones episodes this year. The eighth and final season, currently in production, is reportedly more likely to air in 2019.
