LG enjoys booming OLED sales

LG’s senior managers are impressed by how consumers are buying into LG’s flagship OLED television screens. Their high-end Organic Light-Emitting Diode-based (OLED) displays have sold more than 10,000 units in South Korea in September, and the best-ever month for sales. LG says they were selling an OLED set every four minutes.
Helping is a fall in price from their 2013 debut when the local price of a 55” set was a challenging 15 million Won (about $13,000) to today’s much more affordable $1,760.
These high-end sets took around 40 per cent of LG’s sales in South Korea.
