Multichoice Zimbabwe has cut the price it charges in cash-strapped Zimbabwe, and introduced a lower-cost bundle ‘DStv Lite’. The new pricing structure came into use on September 26th.
Zimbabwe-based subscribers to DStv have to pay in US dollars or an equivalent ‘hard’ currency.
The new prices are:
Premium: down from $72 to $65
Compact Plus: down from $47 to $40
Compact: down from $28 to $25
DSTV Lite will cost just $7
Zimbabwe’s local marketing boss for DStv said the company recognised the tough economic times the country and its subscribers were facing.
