20,000 new homes for UPC
September 6, 2017
Following successful cooperations in the Basel region and in French-speaking Switzerland, from mid-September UPC will also be the new telecommunications provider in the EBL cable network in the Emmental / Luzerner Landschaft region. Some 20,000 additional homes will have access to Internet, TV, telephony and mobile services from UPC as a result.
The EBL cable network in the Emmental / Luzerner Landschaft region currently includes some 20,000 homes. Now EBL has decided to replace the present telecommunications provider, Quickline, which currently supplies around 7,500 customers with digital TV, Internet and telephony within this network, with UPC.
“We are delighted that with the addition of the cable network in the Emmental / Luzerner Landschaft region, from September we will be supplying all EBL networks with Internet, TV, telephony and mobile services. Customers will be able to go online at speeds of 500 Mbits/s in the future and with the new sports channel, MySports, they can enjoy next to other sports Swiss ice hockey and Bundesliga football,” says Christophe Millet, Vice President Partner Networks at UPC.
