Datuk Rohana Rozhan, CEO of pay-TV operator Astro Malaysia, says she knows nothing of the market rumours suggesting that the company is making a bid for India’s Reliance Digital TV.
The rumours, initially reported by The Times of India, stated that Astro Malaysia Holdings was conducting due diligence prior to making a bid.
However, Rohana, responding to questions following Astro’s annual general meeting, said: “”I read about it in the newspaper. But as a matter of principle, we don’t comment on rumours. I don’t know anything about it and I am the CEO of this company.”
Rohana told investors that it is anticipating strong prospects for the year ahead, and is cautiously optimistic amid the formidably operating environment.
