Spain: Record FTTH deployment

Fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment in Spain has grown by 50 per cent over the last year, reaching over 3 million active lines agaistt 1.57 million 12 months ago. Active lines, with speeds of up to or over 30Mbps, grew by 82 per cent in a year.
The figures from regulator CNMC reveal that the total amount of FTTH lines totalled 22.6 million, up from 15 million a year ago.
Movistar is the market leader with a share of 42.94 per cent and a gain of almost 60 per cent of all FTTH lines installed in the last 12 months. Orange is second with a share of 28.85 per cent and Vodafone third with 22.85 per cent.
