France Télévisions, Disney multi-year deal
August 26, 2016
France Télévisions and Disney France have concluded a multi-year deal for the broadcasting of animated TV series on both the PSB group’s TV channels and youth digital platforms Zouzous and Ludo.
This agreement is set to start in September and allows France Télévisions to add TV shows from Disney library as well as the second window to new series after the first pay TV run on French Disney nets.
Starting on screen are series The Lion Guard on France 3, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins, and soon Princesse Sofia on France 5. Upcoming series will comprise Raiponce and Mickey Mouse and Friends. The rights to Disney library titles were formerly held by M6, which has been running them in slot Disney Kid Club since 2010.
