QYOU for Mexico
July 18, 2016
The QYOU, a curator of Internet video for the TV Everywhere market, has formed a partnership with TotalPlay, a Mexican-based Triple Play provider, to bring The QYOU’s curated short-form content to subscribers across Mexico. TotalPlay will air The QYOU’s linear channel on its IPTV service. The deal marks The QYOU’s entry into the Latin American market.
Hugo Adrián Hernández, TotalPlay´s Director Content Acquisition commented: “We are witnessing a significant boom in consumer appetite for short-form content – particularly among the millennial group, a demographic that grew up with internet video. The QYOU offers a content mix that fills a gap in our current offering, creating an innovative entertainment package that is attractive to a wide audience. Ultimately, it bridges the gap between online and television entertainment, giving our subscribers a much more seamless way to access the videos they love. We’re confident that the channel will be a big hit with our audience.”
