Netflix Speed Index: US ISPs “very good” quality

Netflix has released May data for the Netflix ISP Speed Index, its monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience. Highlights include:
In the US, performance at the top-end of the index has converged to a level of very good quality, with the top four ISPs delivering average monthly speeds between 3.65 Megabits per second (Mbps) and 3.61 Mbps. While Bright House took the top spot for the first time, it was closely followed by Verizon FiOS, Cox and Cablevision.
Netflix has started seeing big moves in the Asian countries recently added. In South Korea, Korea Telecom jumped two spots to first place, delivering an average monthly speed of 3.03 Mbps, up from 2.55 Mbps a month ago. In Taiwan, Hoshin Multimedia jumped four spots in that country’s index with an average monthly speed of 2.81 Mbps, up from 2.21 Mbps in April.
In Argentina, Telecom jumped two spots to third place with an average speed of 2.16 Mbps, up from 1.67 Mbps last month.
